Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is not only a very quality  art museum but also a  pristine art institute. They feature many exhibits throughout the course of the year from 3D off the wall to peeling back the layers.  They also have exhibits that remain on exhibit continuously.    Kalamazoo Institute of Arts strives to make art enjoyable for all ages and offers programs that caters to visitors of all ages.     From the Four Points by Sheraton Kalamazoo start out going west on E Cork St , turn slight right onto Whites Rd,  take the 1st right onto S Westnedge Ave, turn slight right onto S Park St W,  Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is on the left.

The Kalamazoo Institute of Arts is a special place — both a museum and community art school. Since 1924 our mission has been to cultivate both the creation and appreciation of the visual arts. Each year 10 to 15 changing exhibitions feature art of many styles and periods. Collection highlights include American painting, European and American prints and photographs, and pre-Columbian gold. Nearly 3,000 students of all ages enjoy art classes in 2 and 3-D media, visiting artist workshops, international travel and more. You’ll find many ways to engage with art-plus a chance to enjoy the company of others who share your interest. American art, from eighteenth- and nineteenth-century portraiture and landscape painting to modern and contemporary abstraction and figurative works, is the strength of the KIA’s permanent collection.  Significant works by Alexander Calder, William Merritt Chase, Dale Chihuly, Richard Diebenkorn, Janet Fish, Helen Frankenthaler, Franz Kline and Andy Warhol are part of the collection.
